YMCA Canada News

We are Canada’s YMCA!

 2009 Annual Report

YMCA Canada’s 2009 Annual Report was released last weekend and is now available online.  While you can read the report in its entirety on your computer screen, a print version can be downloaded from the home page.  There, you will also find a downloadable map indicating where Associations are rooted (as well as the ‘ripple effect’ of their work.)

The online version of the report has a special section that enables Associations (and friends) to add their best stories to this national account of the past year.  We plan to post their 2009 Annual Reports as they become available too.

I hope that you will accept the Annual Report’s invitation to pull up a chair and to join the conversation that we’re having about how to strengthen the foundations of community.  As Margaret Wheatley reminds us:

Change begins from deep inside a system, when a few people will no longer tolerate something, or they respond to a dream of what’s possible.  We just have to find a few others who care about the same thing.  Together, we will figure out what our first step is, then the next, then the next … but if we don’t start talking to one another, nothing will change.

What are the foundations that you think need strengthening?

Scott

PS:  If you’d like to receive a print copy of the 2009 Annual Report by mail, please send your request to services@ymca.ca.
